HERE are details of five cases which were heard or due to be listed recently at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court.

- A MAN who is charged with stealing a Samsung phone and iPad will face a summary trial.

Jordan Kenrick, of Upper Dicconson Street, Wigan is accused of stealing the items from a female in Newtown, St Helens between January 1 and April 15 last year.

Kenrick, 23, was due to appear on February 15.

He will now appear for summary trial at the court on March 15 and was bailed until then.

- A WOMAN charged with producing cannabis and possession of 'spice' will appear in court next Wednesday.

Katie Gilsenan, of Lower Hall Street, St Helens was due to appear on February 15 but the case was adjourned until March 3 due to the pandemic.

Gilsenan is accused of producing 10 cannabis plants at her home, possession of cannabis and possession of spice.

She will next appear on March 3.

- A TWENTY-THREE-YEAR-OLD man accused of drug driving will appear in court on Monday.

Connor Hughes, of Gladstone Street, West Park is accused of driving on Elton Head Road on June 1, 2020 with Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol, (cannabis ingredient) in his blood.

The case was adjourned on February 15 and he will appear on March 1.

- A MAN who harassed a female with WhatsApp messages who he was banned from contacting due to a restraining order has been given a suspended jail sentence.

Kenneth Williamson, of Reynolds Street, Latchford, Warrington sent messages in Newton-le-Willows to a female while banned from doing so on December 6.

He was given a 20-week sentence, suspended for two years. he must do a Building Better Relationships Programme for 29 days and up to 20 days of rehabilitation activity and given a restraining order on his victim until 2024.

The 35-year-old was made to pay a £128 surcharge and £85 in CPS costs.

- A MAN has been given a restraining order after making threats.

Daniel Maher, of Orchard Close, Haresfinch was given a community order.

He pleaded guilty to threatening or abusive words or behaviour towards a male and a female on July 16, 2020. He also assaulted a constable on that date.

Maher, 65, had also assaulted the male on March 26 last year and resisted a police officer.

He must do up to 20 days of rehabilitation activity and 60 hours of unpaid work. He was given restraining orders not to contact two people and made to pay a £95 surcharge, £85 in costs and two sums of £50 in compensation.
