POLICE have received reports of off-road bikes being ridden at the former Parkside Colliery site.

Officers patrolled the area in Newton-le-Willows on quad bikes after several incidents of vehicles being ridden over recent weeks.

In a Facebook post on Thursday evening, St Helens Police said: "Community officers this afternoon have been out and about across St Helens covering the parks and open spaces.

The officers gave some extra attention to Parkside Colliery in Newton-le-Willows after several reports of the use of off-road bikes over the past few weeks.

"Do you have information about who is riding off road bikes and where they may be stored?
