Legends of the 1956 Challenge Cup winning team
BACK in 1990 past players representing Saints Wembley teams turned out to mark 100th anniversary of Knowsley Road.
Some of the 1956 team - the first Saints side to win the Challenge Cup - paraded before the game against the touring Australians.
The legendary players assembled from that year were Frank Carlton, Alan Prescott, Len McIntyre, Steve Llewellyn, Roy Robinson, Nat Silcock and Austin Rhodes.
The date placards were carried by girls from Grange Park Community High School.
