KNUTSFORD'S finest photographers have once again been showing off their skills during a Zoom-based monthly competition.

Just like in January, members of the Knutsford Photographic Society did not have to brave the freezing conditions to leave the confines of their homes to take part in the monthly competition.

Member John Cridland said: "The Society recorded its highest ever on-line entry of 59 images.

"With such a diverse array of good photography on display, lockdown has certainly enabled creativity.

"Members were keen to show a mix of library and new images, with several clearly relishing their time in Lockdown by producing some incredible home studio photos."

The judge for the evening was Steve Walters from the N&E Photographic Federation who clearly had a difficult task in hand.

John added: "Steve gave thoughtful critique about each image and demonstrated a solid understanding of technique.

"He was also prepared to volunteer advice and recommendations where he thought images could be improved."

In total Steve shortlisted 16 strong images before finally selecting his top five. Overall winner was Gordon Spruce, for his photo, Making Waves.

3rd Gordon Spruce – At Racing Speed

4th Tim Banks – Frost Gallery
