A COLLECTION of war medals were among the items snatched by a burglar who broke into a home.
Police received a report of a break-in at an address on Wagon Lane, Haydock overnight on Tuesday into Wednesday this week.
An engraved pocket watch, laptop, purse and handbag containing cash were also taken.
Enquiries into the break-in are ongoing, police say.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "We were called at 7.30am on Wednesday, February 17, to reports of a burglary at a property on Wagon Lane between 11pm the night before and 6.45am that morning.
"A laptop, a purse and handbag containing cash, an engraved pocket watch and a collection of medals was taken.
"CCTV, forensic and house-to-house enquiries have been carried out and an investigation is underway.
"Anyone with information is asked to DM @MerPolCC or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting 21000103432."
