A MUM-OF-TWO has shave her hair to help three different charities during lockdown.

Samantha Rhead from Whiston works at Baxter Health Care.

During the pandemic she decided to do something to raise funds for charities close to her heart, but with restrictions in place she thought the best way to do this was to ask for donations for her to get a head shave.

The 41-year-old said: "I really just wanted to feel like I was doing something to help charities in need.

Before

Before

"I decided to help the Liverpool Royal and Broad Green Hospital charity - called R Charity, and the RSPCA and send my hair to the Little Princess Trust to make a wig for children with childhood illnesses leading to hair loss.

"I am a big supporter of the RSPCA where my mum recently raised £1,000 from making face masks and other homemade crafts during covid lockdown and at Baxter we support the R charity as it is a beneficial unit supporting many patients in need in our area.

"I was worried about how I would look, but after I raised £1,100, I shaved my head and now everyone except my kids say I suit it.

"But they are getting used to it now, I think it was just a shock for them really."
