A MAN who made threats to his partner’s family member while armed with a knife and a brick has been spared jail.
Jack Anders was under the influence of drink and drugs when he threatened to smash the windows of the victim’s home in Warrington during an incident in April last year.
The 20-year-old, of Bradlegh Road in Newton-le-Willows, admitted affray, threatening criminal damage and criminal damage – having also smashed the wing mirror of a BMW – at Warrington Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, January 5.
He was handed a 26-week imprisonment, suspended for 18 months, after magistrates found that there was a ‘realistic prospect of rehabilitation’.
Anders was also told to complete 180 hours of unpaid work, given a rehabilitation activity requirement of up to 30 days and ordered to pay a total of £230 in compensation.
