A STOLEN Land Rover crashed into a marked police car and then fled from the scene.
Police are investigating after a Land Rover Defender was in collision with a marked Peugeot police car on Lowfield Lane last night, Wednesday, January 13.
The vehicle, which has since been confirmed as having been stolen from the Wirral area earlier that day, failed to stop at the scene of the crash, near to the junction with Elton Head Road at around 9.45pm.
Police say the car was not being pursued at the time and is believed to have reversed and hit the marked car and was then driven off.
