HERE are details of five recent cases heard at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court:
- A THIRTY-THREE-YEAR-OLD man who admitted to drink driving has been fined and disqualified from the road for 17 months.
Craig Finnan, of Oliver Road, Toll Bar drove a Ford Fiesta in excess of the alcohol limit on October 31 last year.
Finnan, 33, was fined £276, made to pay a £34 surcharge and £85 in costs to the CPS, making a total of £395.
He was banned from driving for 17 months, to be reduced by 17 weeks if he completes an approved course by November 30.
- A MAN has pleaded not guilty to having a knife in his possession at a railway station.
Keith Williams, of Lawrence Road, Windle, denied a charge of possession of a bladed article.
Williams, 36, is accused of having a knife on him at Edge Hill Railway Station in Liverpool on August 5.
He was given unconditional bail until a trial on July 19.
- A MAN accused of two assaults on a woman has been remanded in custody.
Paul Richardson, of O’Keefe Road, Fingerpost pleaded not guilty to two charges of assault by beating of a woman.
Richardson, 34, is accused of assaulting the woman on December 20 and December 21, 2020.
He has been remanded into custody until January 26.
- A MAN accused of having a knife in a public place will face a trial later this year.
Rashad Daloub, of Millfields Court, Eccleston is accused of having a craft knife on him on Knowsley Road on October 12, 2020.
Daloub, 56, pleaded not guilty.
He has been given unconditional bail with a summary trial scheduled for July 2.
- A MAN who admitted to assaulting a police officer will be sentenced later this month.
Jaxon Owen, of Fleet Lane, Parr, assaulted a constable on October 4 during the exercise of his duty.
Owen , 32, indicated a guilty plea and was given unconditional bail.
He will appear back at the court on January 18.
