BLEAK Hill Primary School was forced to close today to keyworker children after a water main overflowed on the site.
Most children are already working from home, but today keyworker children also had to stay away from school due to water collecting due to the water main in sections of the building and play areas.
The council aim to have the school reopened to children who qualify for tomorrow, Thursday, January 14.
A spokesman from St Helens Council said: ""Bleak Hill Primary School has had to close temporarily as a result of a water main on the site overflowing which has caused water to collect in some sections of the building and play areas.
"We are working to address the issue alongside St Helens Borough Council and United Utilities so that pupils who qualify to attend school can return to the classroom as soon as it is safe to do so again."
