CREWS were called after a fire was started under a bridge in Rainford.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service attended Church Road, Rainford following reports of a fire under a bridge on Sunday night shortly after 10pm.
Firefighters found quantity of pallets alight.

A fire and rescue service spokeswoman said: "Firefighters were called to Church Road, Rainford on Sunday, December 6 following reports of a fire under a bridge.
"Crews were alerted to the fire at around 10.16pm. One fire engine attended.
"On arrival, firefighters found a quantity of pallets involved in fire."
She added: "Crews used a high pressure hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
"Firefighters left the scene at 10.32pm."
