IT'S been a year like no other.

A year when the coronavirus pandemic has taken away many lives too soon and caused immense sadness to thousands of people around the country.

A period in history that has forced our freedoms to be restricted, caused businesses to suffer deeply and led to our ways of living and working altering dramatically.

We've suffered as we've been separated from our loved ones and friends – and missed many of the joys that life brings us.

But 2020 has also been a time when we've witnessed a tremendous amount of kindness, communities standing up to be counted and people coming together as a genuine force for good.

A time when we've reevaluated what's important and found a much greater appreciation for the key workers and carers in our society.

A time when St Helens has stood together.

Later this month we'll be publishing a special review of the year, looking back on how the coronavirus crisis hit St Helens and how the town and its people responded to it.

We would like your contributions.

If you have any pictures, letters, poems or artworks from the last year that you think reflect 2020 then were asking you share them with us.

You can add them to the submissions box below by Thursday, December 10.
