SAINTS have revealed that prop Alex Walmsley played in the Grand Final despite tearing his knee cartilage in the semi final win over Catalans Dragons.
He will now undergo surgery in the off-season to repair the damage and will be back for the start of the 2021 campaign.
The test prop limped off in the game against the Dragons, but nothing was stopping him playing in the final.
He strapped it up and played through the pain barrier in what was his 200th Saints game.
And it was all worthwhile with the 30-year-old colecting his third Grand Final ring.
This beast practically played the @SuperLeague #GrandFinal on one leg! 🤯

He tore a knee cartilage in our Semi Final victory but played through the pain last night to see us through! 💪
