A MAN charged with historic sex offences on a boy will face a Crown Court next month.
Mark Atkins, 57, appeared at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Atkins, of Arden Gate, Doncaster is accused of committing offences on a boy in St Helens between 1980 and 1983.

He is charged with six counts of indecent assault on a boy under 14 and two counts of inciting a boy to commit an act of gross indecency.
After Atkins' not guilty pleas, the court directed a trial by jury.
The case was sent to Liverpool Crown Court where Atkins is due to next appear on Tuesday, December 1.
He was given unconditional bail until then.
