STAR readers have sent in their condolences after the tragic death of a woman who was hit by a bus in the town centre yesterday.
A woman in her 60s died after she was knocked down by a bus near Victoria Square at about 10.55am.
Readers were shocked to hear of the woman's death, and have sent their condolences via social media.
Julie Thompson said: "So sad R.I.P sending love to all her family and friends at this sad time also thinking of the poor bus driver and everybody who witnessed it."
Kerrie Louise Langley added: "Such sad news heart goes out to the poor lady, family, bus driver, passengers and anybody who witnessed this tragic accident. RIP"
Ed Seddon said: "Saw all the police and vehicles when I went shopping, it’s so very sad. Deepest sympathy to the lady’s loved ones. Thinking of the bus driver too, he must be devastated"
