PLANS have been drawn up to create a barber shop in Tyldesley.

Proposals been submitted seeking permission to create a single-storey unit on land to the back of 3 The Square on Elliott Street, Tyldesley.

Applicant Jim Rowley has submitted the plans.

A design and access statement, drawn up by the planning agent, says a single storey retail space would be built "facing the principal car park in Tyldesley town centre, located off Blossom Street".

It adds: "the unit will be constructed in masonry and clad using composite timber plank cladding panels.

"The unit will be constructed single storey and abut the adjacent brick wall structure owned by our client.

"The site forms part of the Heron Food Store and Greenhalgh’s Craft Bakery owned by our client and can be considered redundant or un-utilised external space".

Public consultation on plans are until Thursday, November 19.
