HUDDERSFIELD Giants have stepped into the breach to face Warrington Wolves on Friday.

The sides will face off at the Totally Wicked Stadium, with the match kicking off at 5.30pm.

The new fixture comes after Salford Red Devils - whom The Wire were supposed to face at the same time and venue - were forced to forfeit the match to player availability issues.

Warrington and Huddersfield were due to meet in Round 21 on November 8/9 but the fixture has been brought forward.

The Giants were due to face Castleford Tigers on Friday at the John Smith's Stadium, but that fixture was cancelled after their opponents reported 12 positive Covid tests.

The sides have met already this season, with a late Blake Austin drop goal sealing a 19-18 win for The Wire in August.
