STEVE Price has confirmed Warrington Wolves will be without Jake Mamo for Monday’s trip to Catalans Dragons.

The utility back suffered a Grade Two posterior cruciate knee ligament injury in the early stages of The Wire’s 18-14 loss to Wigan Warriors on October 9.

He was labelled as a major doubt for the game in Perpignan last week and today, Price confirmed the game will come too soon for him.

“He won’t come into consideration for Catalans,” Price said of his fellow Australian.

“He’s doing really well with his rehab and he’ll more than likely be back for the following game.”

One player who will return is Ben Murdoch-Masila, who has recovered from the abductor muscle strain that has kept him out of Wolves’ past two games.

“Murds has completed a number of training sessions and had a big session with us today,” Price said.

“We’re really excited to have him back. He’s raring to go and he can’t wait to get back out there amongst the boys.”

The squad returned to training today having enjoyed some time off given the extended turnaround from their last game – the 32-6 win over Leeds Rhinos last Tuesday.

Price confirmed there were no new injuries among the group, with only Mamo and the suspended duo of Tom Lineham and Sitaleki Akauola being unavailable for the trip to France.
