MOTORISTS are urged to avoid a junction where traffic lights have gone out - or to take care if they are travelling in the area.
The lights at the Blackbrook Road and Chain Lane junction have gone out, the council has said.
Engineers have been sent to repair the lights.

A St Helens Council statement said: "We have had reports that the traffic lights at the Blackbrook Road / Chain Lane junction are out. Engineers are on the way to repair them.
"Please drive carefully or avoid the junction if possible."
