WARRINGTON Hockey Club men’s firsts extended their winning run on Saturday.

They took three valuable points away from their trip to Alderley Edge’s fourths as they ran out 3-0 victors.

Michael Holmes and Ben Vickers linked up for the first and third goals either side of Dominic Bain's strike.

They will aim to extend their run when they host Sale at Priestley College on Saturday.

The women’s firsts came out on the wrong side of a seven-goal thriller against a strong Whitchurch side.

In a to-and-fro contest, Emma Turner bagged a brace for Warrington while vice-captain Carrie Wright was also on the scoresheet.

However, Whitchurch were able to hold on for a 4-3 win.

The women’s seconds played two games at the weekend, losing narrowly in both.

Skipper Tammy Finlayson was on the scoresheet in a 2-1 loss to a young Brooklands side while Wright and Grace Deegan Graham scored in their 3-2 reverse against neighbours Lymm on Sunday.
