CHALLENGE Cup Finalists Salford Red Devils have turned to one of St Helens' most inspirational figures to give them a pep talk ahead of today's Wembley showpiece.
Andy Reid, the former soldier whose story of recovering from injuries sustained in an Afghanistan explosion has proven an inspiration to many, gave his motivational talk to the underdogs ahead of the big game against Leeds.
The war veteran, who was awarded with an MBE last year, has inspired many - including his hometown Saints - since rebuilding his life after stepping on a pressure plate Improvised Explosive Device (IED).
This morning he tweeted: "Absolutely amazing to be asked by Salford Devils to deliver a motivational talk to the boys before their Challenge Cup final clash with
Leeds Rhinos as part of my brand ambassador role with Morson Group."
🗣️ "If you want to achieve your goals and dreams in life, you need to put the hard work in!"@andyreid2506 joined the team to add that extra bit of motivation ahead of today's @TheChallengeCup final!
