WARRINGTON Wolves have five games of the regular season remaining.

Winning all five of them should secure their place in the all-important top four of the Super League table, but the margin for error is slim.

The schedule is tight, too – all five games look set to be played in a window of at most 18 days.

Here is what Steve Price’s men are facing in the run-in towards the play-offs…

CATALANS DRAGONS (A), Monday, October 26

With a limited number of spectators permitted at professional sporting fixtures in France, this will be The Wire’s first game in front of a paying crowd since March.

They beat the Dragons 30-16 at The Halliwell Jones Stadium last month, but winning in Perpignan is always a tough ask.

Indeed, Steve Price’s side lost on both visits to the Stade Gilbert Brutus last year.

SALFORD RED DEVILS (H), Friday, October 30

Salford have become a bit of a bogey side for Warrington of late.

The Red Devils have won each of the past five meetings between the two sides, including the Challenge Cup semi final earlier this month.

HULL KINGSTON ROVERS (A), Thursday/Friday, November 5/6

Rovers were The Wire’s first opponents when Super League restarted, with Price’s men running out 40-10 winners at Headingley back in August.

Even though the threat of relegation has been removed for this year, the side coached by former Wire boss Tony Smith will be fighting to ensure they avoid finishing bottom of the pile.

HUDDERSFIELD GIANTS (H), Sunday/Monday, November 8/9

The most intriguing aspect of this clash would be the short turnaround, with both sides playing just a couple of days after their previous fixtures.

These two have met since lockdown, with Wolves needing a late Blake Austin drop goal to edge to a 19-18 win.

ST HELENS (A), Thursday/Friday, November 12/13

Always a fearsome test but with Saints unbeaten in Super League since the restart, they may well have sealed a third straight League Leaders’ Shield by this point.

The only side to beat them since lockdown, though? Warrington Wolves, with a 20-18 win in the Challenge Cup quarter-finals in September.
