A POPULAR Italian restaurant has made the decision to temporarily close its doors because of coronavirus.
Donatello Ristorante, on Orford Lane, confirmed to customers that it would be closing after a family member of a member of staff tested positive for Covid-19.
As a precaution, all staff will be tested for the virus and the venue will not reopen until all results come back negative.
As such, the restaurant says it is unfortunately unable to honour any bookings over the coming days.
In a statement on its Facebook page, the business said: “Due to a positive Covid test result of the fiancé of a member of staff, we have decided to take the precautionary measure of closing the restaurant until all members of staff have tested negative.

“Very sorry to all the bookings we cannot honour over the next few days.
“We will reopen when it is considered safe to do so.”
