THE number of patients at Warrington and Halton hospitals that have died from coronavirus has reached a devastating milestone.
Since the start of the pandemic, 150 inpatients have sadly passed away.
The news was confirmed by Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in its daily coronavirus update.
As of Today, Thursday, the trust is caring for 62 inpatients that have tested positive for Covid-19.
Of these, nine are currently receiving care from Warrington Hospital’s intensive care unit.
To date, the trust has tested 25,982 inpatients and members of the community for coronavirus, with 1,522 producing a positive result.
A total of 460 patients have been discharged after successfully recovering from the virus.
