A NEW acupuncture clinic could open its doors in Northwich if council chiefs give plans the green light.

Emma Guy has submitted plans with Cheshire West and Chester Council to convert a first-floor flat above a The Cutting Lounge hairdressing salon, in London Road.

In her planning application, Emma explains that the flat was used as a café above a sandwich shop until 2010, and it ‘attracted many visitors on a daily basis’.

“In 2010 the premises was converted to a hairdressing salon on the ground floor and a residential flat above,” she said.

“The intention is to convert the flat only to an acupuncture clinic. The hairdressing salon remains unchanged.”

Emma explains that her clinic has operated for nine years from Weaver Business Centre, in Winnington, on an appointment-only basis – with just one customer in at one time.

Customers could make use of six parking spaces behind the property, of which two are used by the salon downstairs, Emma adds.
