EMERGENCY services were called after two vehicles were involved in a crash at Haydock Island on Friday night (September 25).

The crash took place at around 10pm on Friday.

Damage was caused to a railing.

Ambulance were called to the scene.

A spokeswoman said there were two vehicles involved in the collision and added that no-one needed to be taken to hospital.

The North West Ambulance spokeswoman said: "We sent a rapid response vehicle and a land ambulance to the scene at Haydock Island.

"We did not take anyone to hospital and injuries were minor.

"There were two vehicles involved in the road traffic collision."
