A MOTORBIKE rider was seriously injured after a crash in Salford yesterday afternoon, Friday.

Police were called to Pacific Way at around 12.29pm after reports of a collision between a red Ducati Supersport S motorbike and a grey Fiat 500 on Pacific Way in Salford.

The rider of the motorcycle – a 38-year-old man – was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

The driver of the car – a 23-year-old woman – suffered minor injuries which were treated at the scene by paramedics.

No arrests have been made and enquiries remain ongoing.

Police Sergeant Matt Picton, of Greater Manchester Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This collision has sadly left a man with serious injuries and we wish him all the best for a speedy recovery.

“We are keen to establish the full circumstances surrounding this collision and would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed this incident, or anyone who may have any dashcam footage to please contact police.

“This collision happened in broad daylight on a busy stretch of road, so we are confident that there are a number of witnesses who may be able to assist with our enquiries.”
