TWO men accused of assaulting a police officer have appeared in court.
Thomas Luke Maughan, 35, and Larry Francis Maughan, 27, both of Penlake Lane, Bold appeared at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court.
Thomas Maughan, 35, is charged with assaulting a constable and resisting a constable in the execution of his duty on December 23, 2019 on Penlake Lane.
Larry Maughan, 27, is also charged with assault of a police officer. He is also charged with making a threat to kill an officer and obstructing a constable.

Both defendants pleaded not guilty to all charges.
They will appear at the court for trial on December 15.
Both were granted unconditional bail until this date.
