A HOUSEBUILDING firm, which has a site in Northwich, has taken on new apprentices.

Barratt Homes, which is building the Imperial Park development at Winnington Village, is running a scheme for apprentices to learn while they earn.

Daniel Hancock, 26, is working at the Imperial Park site having taken on a bricklaying apprenticeship.

"It’s great to be working for a leading homebuilder in such a hands-on role with room for development," he said.

"I am excited to qualify as a Bricklayer, and can see myself progressing in my position in the years to come with Barratt Homes."

Barratt says its apprentices receive encouragement, support and guidance to help them develop, giving the skills and qualifications for a successful career.

Apprentices in the scheme can access careers advice while learning on the job, and all programmes are tailored to individual needs.

Neil Goodwin, managing director at Barratt Homes Manchester, said: “The construction industry is continuing to grow and this is an exciting time for anyone with an interest in housebuilding to join a market leading company.
