TWO men and a teenager have been charged in connection with a stabbing.
Around 4.20am on Saturday, July 11, officers were called to Merton Bank Road following reports that a man in his 20s had been stabbed.
He was taken to hospital for treatment of serious but non life-threatening injuries.
Three men were arrested at the time and bailed.
20-year-old Wilson Cheetham of Oak Avenue, Newton-le-Willows was charged with Section 18 wounding.
29-year-old Michael Harrison of Heald Street, Newton-le-Willows was charged with Section 18 wounding; possession of an offensive weapon in a public place; assault occasioning ABH; and possession of cannabis.
A 17-year-old boy from Huyton was charged with Section 18 wounding and possession of a knife/sharply pointed article in a public place.
All three were remanded in custody to appear today, Friday, September 18 at St Helens Adult Remand Court.
