THERE is set to be a glorious end to the summer in St Helens with sunny and dry weather expected all week.
Residents have been basking in the scorching conditions today (Monday) which has seen temperatures up to the mid-20s° Celsius.
St Helens is set for similar conditions on Tuesday as fine weather is set for the rest of the week.

- Tuesday, September 15: High 24°C, Low 13°C. Sunny intervals and light winds
- Wednesday, September 16: High 19°C, Low 9°C. Light cloud and a gentle breeze
- Thursday, September 17: High 18°C, Low 8°C. Sunny and a gentle breeze
- Friday, September 18: High 19°C, Low 10°C. Sunny intervals and light winds
- Saturday, September 19: High 17°C, Low 9°C. Sunny intervals and a gentle breeze
- Sunday, September 20: High 17°C, Low 9°C. Sunny intervals and a gentle breeze
The regional outlook for the week on BBC News states: "Less hot on Wednesday as the warm air overhead moves into the near continent. High pressure will become centred just to the north of British Isles, and this should bring a dry and fine day on Wednesday, though turning a little breezy. Temperatures will return much closer to the seasonal norm for Thursday and Friday, but it will be dry with plenty of sunshine for most areas".
