A MAJOR route into Northwich is set to be closed for two nights this week.
The A533 Kingsmead will be closed in both directions between the London Road traffic lights and the Kingsmead crossroads from 7pm to 6am on Monday and Tuesday night.
Cheshire West and Chester Council highways workers will be carrying out relining works while the road is closed.
While the council has permission to close the road for five nights from September 14, it says it does not expect the work to take longer than two.
Drivers looking to travel between the town centre and the A556 will be diverted along Manchester Road.
Meanwhile, the full length of a road in Cuddington will also be closed for three days from Tuesday, September 15.

Both Kingsmead and Mill Lane will remain open for emergency vehicle access.
