A 23-YEAR-OLD man who assaulted a woman and caused criminal damage to a property and police vehicle has been given a jail sentence.
Warren Graham, of Langtree Street, Fingerpost was given a prison sentence of 10 weeks at the magistrates' court.
Graham pleaded guilty to an assault of a woman at an address on Lower Hall Street, St Helens on Tuesday, August 18.
Graham also pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage to a window and door at the property and to using threatening words or behaviour.
The 23-year-old also admitted to damaging a police vehicle.

Graham was given an eight-week custodial sentence for the assault, as the offence "was aggravated by the defendant's record of previous offending".
He was also ordered to serve another two weeks consecutively for the criminal damage to a police vehicle and made to pay £60 in compensation.
He was jailed to two weeks concurrently for the criminal damage to the door and window, ordered to pay £200 compensation and given a three-year restraining order.
Graham was also fined £140 for the use of threatening words or behaviour, making a total of £400 to be paid.
