SAINTS are back home tonight - albeit without the familiar roar of the fans - when they take on Hull KR at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

It is a swift return fixture against the Robins, who they defeated in something of an ugly game at Warrington two weeks ago.

Saints boss Kristian Woolf wants his side to have learned lessons from that game - particularly when it comes to dealing with Rovers' tactics in slowing the game down.

Woolf said: "We learned a lot from that game and there are areas that we need to be better at.

"Hull KR were very good at trying to slow the game down and bog the ruck down.

"We allowed that to become frustrating and I hope that is not the case this week.

"If that happens, then I hope we handle it better - we have to take ownership of what we do there rather than worrying about how the game is being allowed to be played."

Rovers defeated Wigan last week, to underline that they are not as bad a team as the league table showed.

They have an unorthodox style with a fair bit of strike across the park.

And it will be interesting to see James Graham's duel with Weller Hauraki after their tussles last time out.

Coach Kristian Woolf said: "It is an interesting one and we don’t have to worry too much about how we preview the team.

"Hull KR play differently and they chance their arm anyway.

"We have a good idea about Hull KR from two weeks ago and most blokes watched the Wigan game at the weekend as well.

"We are well prepared for them and the biggest thing is to make sure we are the best version of us."

After last week's motorway travails, Woolf is even happier to get back on home turf.

"It is always nice to come home - it is familiar scenery and we don't have to jump on a bus.

"Last week was a tough bus trip and we got caught on the M62 for a while and was wandering whether we were going to make the game at one stage.

"It is good to not have to do that this week and be playing on the field that we train on all the time," he said.
