SAINTS’ dazzling displays since Super League re-started have shown the depth of quality they have across the board.

The barn-storming runs of big Al, the blistering finishing of Regan Grace, the work-rate of Morgan Knowles or the sheer doggedness of James Bentley have stood out.

And there are plenty of key links making a strong squad chain – not just in the top 17 - talent that the club fully intend on keeping hold of going forward despite the uncertain times brought upon the game due to the impact of Covid-19 – and no doubt the extra attention they will be getting from elsewhere.

Looking at the real bond of togetherness and team spirit that has seen the champions win their last three games – you can see why the club has prioritised retention of players of such high calibre and character.

Coach Kristian Woolf said: “Our first priority is the retention of the players who can take this club forward; players who help improve on the field, but also off it with its culture.

“I would be pretty confident that we will retain the majority, if not all of the players, that we wish to.

“What see here with the effort, the desire to win and compete hard and not let each other down as a team. That is exactly what we do want to be going forward with.”
