A MURDER trial is set to take place in the New Year relating to the death of dad-of-one Warren Glover.
Four people accused of the 33-year-old's murder appeared in court yesterday, Monday, August 10.
Warren Glover suffered a serious head injury during an assault on French Street at the junction with Thompson Street in Toll Bar on Saturday, June 13.
He died three weeks later on Tuesday, July 7.
A number of people have been arrested in connection with the case, including Melissa Stubbs, 28, of Lane End Road, Peter Walker, 30, of Garth Road, Manchester and Aaron Stubbs, 30, of Lane End Road, Manchester who have all been charged with murder.
Stephen Strutt, 39, who is also charged with murder appeared via videolink as well as Sarah Clark, 30, who is accused of assisting an offender.
The pair, who are both from Chester Avenue, Stalybridge, were arrested earlier this month at a hotel in Blackpool.
Yesterday, in Liverpool Crown Court, Clark denied assisting an offender and entered a not guilty plea.
The other defendants did not enter pleas.
The trial into the case is scheduled to take place on January 4, 2021.
Strutt, Melissa and Aaron Stubbs and Walker have all been remanded in custody and are expected to next appear in court on September 29 to enter their pleas.
