A WOMAN has appeared in court been charged with stealing £1,500 worth of food from a pub.
Chelsea Lee Bailey, of Chatteris Court, Toll Bar, appeared before Merseyside Magistrates' Court.
Bailey, 31, is accused of entering the food storage area of the Eccleston Arms pub on Prescot Road as a trespasser and stealing meat and other foodstuffs to the value of £1,500.
She is alleged to have committed the offence on Tuesday, July 14 this year.
Bailey pleaded not guilty to the charge in a hearing at the magistrates' court and she will now face a summary trial on the charge.

The 31-year-old was granted conditional bail until her next court appearance, scheduled for September.
Bail conditions include not to enter the Eccleston Arms pub.
Bailey will next appear at Sefton Magistrates' Court on the afternoon of Thursday, September 10.
