A NINETEEN-YEAR-OLD woman has been charged with causing the death of a pedestrian on the St Helens Linkway by careless driving on Christmas Eve in 2018.
Danuta Wieczerzak, a Polish national who lived in St Helens, died after being hit by a red Suzuki Alto on the Linkway near to St Helens Retail Park and KFC shortly before 2.30pm on December 24, 2018.

Ms Wieczerzak, who was 32, was taken to hospital and passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019.

Robyn Bolan, 19, of Hillside Avenue, Dentons Green has been charged with causing the death of Ms Wieczerzak by careless or inconsiderate driving.
Bolan is due to appear at Merseyside Magistrates' Court today (Wednesday, August 5).
