POLICE say they were called to reports of a woman "being chased by a man" on Sunday afternoon (August 2).
Officers were called to the Carr Mill area after receiving reports of a woman being chased.
Residents reported seeing a police presence in the area around Windermere Avenue and Grizedale Avenue early on Sunday afternoon.
Police say that when they attended the woman was "safe and well".
It is believed the man, who had been reportedly chasing the woman, had made off.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "We were called to Grizedale Avenue at just before 12.30pm yesterday to reports a woman was being chased by a man.
"Officers attended at the scene.
"The woman was seen safe and well and the man made off."
