PLANS have been drawn up to create seven flats in unused office space in a solicitor's building.
Proposals have been drawn up to sub-divide existing vacant offices at Frodsham's Solicitors on Hardshaw Street, St Helens to create seven one-bed flats.
Two offices on the ground floor will be maintained, say the plans.
Proposals were received by St Helens Council on July 20 from applicant Mr J Hartley.
Plans state: "The Frodsham’s Solicitors has been partly vacant for approximately two years, and there appears little to no opportunity to fill the vacant office space within the building.
"However, it is noted that two offices are shown as being retained within the building".

"In terms of the proposed internal layout of the building and residential accommodation, this has been carefully planned to ensure that each flat is accessible and compliant with current building regulations, whilst all habitable rooms within the seven flats will be served by natural light from existing window openings".
The plans are on public consultation until Tuesday, August 18.
A determination deadline on the plans has been set for September 15.
