CHAMPIONS Saints will restart the campaign to retain their crown on Sunday when Super League returns with a double header at Headingley.
As we continue our build up, we take a step back in time to the last day of inaugural Super League season.
The picture shows a delighted skipper Bobbie Goulding, with a smile as wide as the Mersey, proudly leading his team out through a past players guard of honour after Saints had thumped Warrington to lift the title on a baking hot August Bank Holiday.
Chris Joynt, bloodied but unbowed, and a wing Alan Hunte are also in the shot ready to take the adulation of the Knowsley Road faithful.
It completed the double, with Saints having won at Wembley four months earlier/
Happy days.
