A ST HELENS firm has created striking illuminations for inside retail giant Primark's multi-million-euro flagship Barcelona store.

The store, which sits at the heart of the famous Las Ramblas boulevard, has had illuminated exterior and interior signage provided and designed by Reginald Road-based signage firm Widd Signs over a seven-week period.

The project consisted of external Primark brand signage, as well as unique internal directional and departmental signage on each of the store’s five retail floors reflecting a Gaudi-esque design.

More than 50 different acrylic and aluminium-made signs were installed in total.

Widd Signs Managing Director Gary Williams said: “We’ve created and installed traditional and digital signage in over 150 Primark stores all across the world over the last 13 years now, and we’re proud to serve as one of their trusted suppliers.

“This particular project was special in so many ways. Their flagship store on Las Ramblas will be very popular in this cultural Spanish hub, and the scale and complexity of their signage requirements allowed us to once again showcase the breadth of our industry-leading capabilities.”

It is the latest in a trio of projects Widd Signs has undertaken for Primark in Spain this year, with signage installations also completed at the retailer’s stores in the Catalonian town of Sant Cugat del Vallès and Malaga.
