POLICE have released three people under investigation after a gun, drugs and cash were seized during a police raid.
The Glock handgun was recovered along with drugs and cash when officers executed a warrant at an address in Freemantle Avenue, Thatto Heath.
Officers swooped at about 1.20pm last Thursday, and detained three suspects in connection with drugs and firearm offences and money laundering.

The firearm was “forensically recovered for assessment”, added a police spokesman and an investigation will focus on whether it is linked to any crimes.

A 48-year-old woman from St Helens was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs; possession of a firearm; and money laundering.
A police spokesperson confirmed that the three arrested have been released under investigation as enquiries continue.
Speaking following the raid, Inspector Rob Budden said: “We’re delighted to be removing this firearm from circulation, in addition to Class A and B drugs and cash.
“This and any firearm have the potential to cause significant fear and harm in our community.
“Our investigations are now underway and I would ask anyone with information to come forward.”
Police also released photographs of cash that was seized from inside the property as part of the investigation.
Inspector Budden added:“We work tirelessly to pursue those involved in serious and organised crime, and responding to information from our communities.
“Keep coming forward with information so we can put those involved before the courts and remove dangerous weapons.”
