A MAN was taken to hospital after a crash involving a car and a lorry at the Windle Island junction of the East Lancs last night.
Police confirmed emergency crews were called to the scene shortly before 11pm on Tuesday.
A Nissan Duke and a HGV were involved in the crash.
A police spokesperson said one man was taken to Whiston Hospital with what was believed to be a "slight injury".
Road closures were in place and workers spent more than two hours on the scene as the damaged vehicles and debris were cleared.
