A MAN has been charged after an assault at a train station.
The 22-year-old victim was attacked in the entrance to Hough Green Station in Widnes shortly before 12.30pm on Sunday, July 12.
He suffered minor injuries, and did not require hospital treatment.
Connor Wright, of Avondale Drive, was arrested on Liverpool Road soon afterwards.
The 24-year-old has since been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
Wright appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court via video link on Monday, July 13, in order to face these charges.
He will now be brought before Liverpool Crown Court next month.
