The "heartbroken" family of a 33-year-old man who died last week after suffering injuries in an assault have paid tribute to a caring dad.
Warren James Glover, 33, suffered serious head injuries after being assaulted on French Street in Toll Bar on the evening of Saturday, June 13.
He had been in hospital since the incident, but died of his injuries on Tuesday, July 7.
Police have launched a murder investigation following his death.
His family have issued the following tribute: "As a family, we are heartbroken and truly devastated with the loss of Warren.
"He was a genuinely kind-hearted and caring dad who adored his family and friends.
"He was much loved and loyal; his fun, genuine and empathetic character will be sorely missed by all who knew him especially his mum."
Earlier today detectives revealed two men had been charged with murdering Warren.
Peter Walker, 30, of Garth Road, Manchester and Aaron Stubbs, 30, of Lane End Road, Manchester have been charged with murder.
Both have been remanded in custody.

Walker appeared at Liverpool Magistrates' Court yesterday (Monday, July 13) and was further remanded to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on August 10.
Stubbs is due to appear at Liverpool Magistartes' Court today (Tuesday, July 14).
A 28-year-old woman from Manchester and a 41-year-old man from Stockport, previously arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding with intent, were released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
A 54-year-old woman was also interviewed under caution last week (Friday, July 9) in connection with the incident, and remains under investigation.

Earlier today police issued an appeal to trace a man in connection with the murder investigation.
