THE A58 Liverpool Road will be closed at its junction with the East Lancs Road from this Saturday for repairs to a collapsed drain.
During the works, which will start at 6am Saturday, July 11 until 5am Monday, July 13, access to properties will be maintained and a diversion route will be in place - with a dedicated traffic management crew on hand throughout the duration.
There will be a series of night time closures week commencing 13th July on the A580 eastbound and westbound, along with Liverpool Road and Stanley Bank Way.
These closures will be between the hours of 8pm-6am to allow duct crossings to be installed as part of the Pewfall Junction Improvement Scheme.

Work on Pewfall Junction, which is undergoing a transformation to increase junction capacity in all directions - and improve safety through dedicated pedestrian and cycle crossings - is progressing well and construction has continued during the coronavirus pandemic, in line with government guidelines.
Pewfall Junction Improvement Scheme is being funded by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority’s Local Growth Fund through a £2.6m investment, with local developers contributing £500,000. St Helens Council will fund the remaining balance to help support economic growth and employment opportunities in the borough.
Local Growth Funding is awarded to the Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and invested through the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority’s Strategic Investment Fund.
The whole scheme is expected to be completed by late September 2020.
