A 21-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with causing the death of a 13-year-old schoolboy by dangerous driving following an alleged hit-and-run.
Liam Wilson, 21, of Livingstone Street, Ashton-in-Makerfield has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and assault by beating of an emergency worker.
He has been remanded in custody to appear before Wigan Magistrates' Court on Friday, July 10, 2020.
At around 4.30pm on Tuesday, July 7, police were called to reports of a collision between a car and a 13-year-old boy on Old Road, Ashton in Makerfield.
The boy, 13-year-old Jack Worwood, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where, despite the best efforts of medical staff, he died the next day.
