AN eight-year-old dancer is "thrilled" after raising £950 for our NHS by baking 50 cakes during lockdown.
During this pandemic, people in our communities, young and old, have found ingenious ways to help others and spread joy through a difficult time.
And Flossie Buckner from Billinge, who attends Elizabeth Hill Dance School most days usually, decided to use her space time to sell cakes and raise money for our NHS under the name FLOBO cakes.
After months of baking, including her parents doing rush shops to find flour and other ingredients, Flossie handed over £950 to the NHS this week.

Her mum Clare Buckner, 40, said: "I'm immensely proud of her it's been good fun and a welcome distraction for us all really during lockdown but to raise so much is just wonderful.
"She made all the cakes from scratch on her own, and people have been very kind buying them, knowing all the cash will go to our NHS.
"Of the money raise £425 will go to the Children Ward in Whiston Hospital, £425 will go to the Critical Care Unit in Whiston Hospital and £50 will go to the combined NHS Charity.
"She's done a great job."
