A SUSPECT has been arrested after a man allegedly approached a van driver in the early hours of this morning.
A man had been seen carrying an axe in Bassenthwaite Avenue, Clinkham Wood at around 4.35am today, Tuesday, July 7.
He is reported to have approached a van driver while armed with the weapon.
Officers attended and arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.
He has been taken to a police station for questioning.
There are no reports of any injuries, said a police spokesperson.
